Dharavi is known to most parts of the world as Asia’s biggest slum. However, Dharavi is much more than this. On India’s 69th Republic Day, Republic TV brings to you the story of a hero and mentor who is nurturing Dharavi kids’ Bollywood dream. We bring to you the story of Baburao Ladsaheb, Dharavi’s favorite acting and dancing guru.
Ladsaheb who lives in a tiny house in Mumbai’s Dharavi runs a free of cost ‘5 star acting, dancing, fighting’ school from his one-room-house. These children come from the lower income strata and can not afford affluent acting classes. Ladsaheb, who once dreamt of an acting career for himself, give these children acting classes just to put a smile on the young faces.
In his 50s, Ladasaheb’s creativity and commitment to his cause is impeccable as his dream is to create 5 superstars out of the lot he trains.
