Exclusive: Shilpa Shetty to turn TV producer and not act!

Shilpa Shetty's film career may have taken a back seat at the moment but the actress is out there making her presence feel with brand endorsements and more. In an exclusive interview with Republic TV the actress spills the beans on her career plans

Although actress Shilpa Shetty has not been doing movies for almost a decade now but has been busy with her other projects and along with a schedule so tight she knows just how to strike the perfect balance. In an exclusive interview with Republic TV the actress, who was last seen in a feature in 2007, spoke about her career plans.  

'' I haven’t done any films in past ten years now, believe it or not I am more busy today then I was doing movies. There is so much to and and my focus is now obviously on doing stuff that makes me happy.''

The actress is all set to release her second book, titled The Diary of a Domestic Diva, adding yet another feather in her cap. Shilpa's first book, The Great Indian Diet released in 2014.

''I have just finished writing a book called 'The Diary of a Domestic Diva' which will b soon out. The idea is to make people's life easier, making sure that people know how important it is to maintain good health and how easy it is to look after yourself so I am coming out with something very interesting very soon. You will come to know''

Talking about her come back in films Shilpa said, ''I have read a couple of scripts. Nothing has urged me to sign a project. Honestly for me to really get out of other stuff that I am doing it has to be worth it.''

The 42-year-old actress, who had turned producer for Dishkiyaoon, said she is not keen on producing films, ''Not planning to produce films but I do intend to produce some stuff for television, I think TV is a great medium. I am even planning to produce a Punjabi film but at the moment I am not sure about Hindi movies."
