Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh on Wednesday took to his social media handles and shared a light-hearted and emotional message to his followers ahead of the much-anticipated release of his movie Padmaavat.
The film, which has been in the centre of controversies for a long while, is finally scheduled to release on January 25. The 32-years-old actor, who portrays Alauddin Khilji in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film highlighted that is ‘overwhelmed’ with the film and feels ‘immensely blessed.’
During the course of his post, Ranveer wrote,
“For me, the sheer toil of our film's team has translated as magic on the big screen. And today on the eve of the release of our beloved film, I wish you all a Happy Republic Day in advance and invite you all to the cinema halls. I am proud to be part of a film that our whole country can be proud of.”
Thanking Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who earlier gave Ranveer the characters in two unique films - Ram in ‘Ram Leela’ and Bajirao in ‘Bajirao Mastani’, Ranveer said,
"Sanjay Sir has given me a gift of a character that I will forever be indebted to him for in my role, more than I already am. You have shaped me into the artist that I am, sir”
