'The Accidental Prime Minister' cast is growing bigger and better. After Anupam Kher and Akshaye Khanna, it is now Aahana Kumra joining the cast of the film.
Aahana, who shot to fame with her film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha' (2017), will be portraying the role of Priyanka Gandhi in the film which is based on the life of former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh.
Aahana Kumra, while speaking to a publication, confirmed that she has been approached to play the role of Priyanka Gandhi in the film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
The team is still working on the look and once the results are satisfactory, the makers and production house will start shooting for the film.
Aahana, who is too excited to play this role, feels that it is important to get the look right because a lot of characters from this movie are real people.
While Anupam Kher has been roped in to play the role of Dr.Manmohan Singh, Akshaye Khanna will be seen playing Sanjaya Baru, who is also the author of book with the same title on which the film is based on.
Khanna's look from the film was released recently in which he could be seen sporting grey hair and holding a cigar in his mouth.
Written by Hansal Mehta and directed by Vijay Gutte, 'The Accidental Prime Minister' will also see UK-born Indian actor Arjun Mathur as Rahul Gandhi.
