Recently, some reports suggested that Mahira Khan had allegedly met Ranbir Kapoor in London. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt had wrapped up the Bulgaria schedule of their film ‘Brahmastra’ and before the team could start shooting for the next schedule, Ranbir took off to London and it was reported that Ranbir is in the city to meet Mahira. However, this is far from the truth as Ranbir was in the city to train for martial arts forms like Kalaripayattu and Varma Kalai for his film.
Ranbir Kapoor and Mahira Khan’s alleged closeness has been a hot topic of gossip ever since they were spotted together smoking in New York. Mahira was trolled for smoking and shamed for wearing a short backless dress in the pictures that were circulating on social media. When Mahira was recently questioned about the controversy, she confessed that she "felt violated" due to invasion of privacy. During the controversy, many Pakistani actors like Ali Zafar and Humaima Malik supported Mahira Khan, while Bollywood stars like Zareen Khan, Parineeti Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor also backed her.
Mahira Khan had made her Bollywood debut with Shah Rukh Khan's 2017 film ‘Raees’.
