Abhay Deol, who is best known for his offbeat choice of films such as 'Dev D' and 'Manorama Six Feet Under', will soon make his Tamil film debut in a film titled 'Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai'. The actor is also co-producing the film.
Abhay is one of those Bollywood actors who is known to be extremely choosy about his films.
Talking about his Tamil film debut, Abhay told Republic, ''I play a very crucial part in the film and I learned Tamil for it and of course, there will be a little bit of dubbing."
Abhay Deol, who has also turned producer for 'Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai', added, ''As an individual, I am producing few films but my current focus is on acting and development like I had developed 'Dev D' a few years ago after which I haven't developed anything so will be working on that."
South actors Ashwin Kakumanu, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Guru Somasundaram also play important roles in 'Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhi'. The film is directed by debutant filmmaker Rathindran R Prasad.
Abhay Deol is currently busy promoting his Bollywood flick 'Nanu Ki Jaanu', which is a love story between a ghost and crook. The film also stars Patralekha and is produced by Inbox Pictures. 'Nanu Ki Jaanu' is directed by Faraz Haider and written by Manu Rishi Chadha. The film is slated for a release on April 20.
