A massive fire broke out at Babla Compound at Thane's Bhiwandi on Friday, locals said on Saturday.
As per the locals, the fire broke out due to a short circuit on Friday night.
Soon after the incident, the firefighters reached the spot to douse the flames.
Five people were sleeping on the premises of the company when the incident took place. They were later rescued by the firefighters.
"We immediately rushed to the spot when we got a call. It took an hour for us to get control on the flames, now the cooling process is going on," said firefighter Jagdish Sabre.
The same day, a fire broke out in the Girija Heights building in Thane. About 12 firefighting vehicles were engaged in bringing the fire under control, said official sources.
Earlier in the day, a fire officer was injured while dousing the flames on the fourth floor of the Navrang Studio in Mumbai's Lower Parel.
This incident comes less than a month after the massive Kamala Mills compound fire on December 29, 2017, in which 14 people were killed and 12 suffered critical injuries.
