The Airports Council International (ACI) recently conducted the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) ratings of 2018 and there’s some good news for Indian airports. Turns out, the Mumbai, Delhi and Hyderabad airports have ranked number one in their respective categories.
These airports have been rated as being the world’s best airports when it comes to customer experience.
This news was obviously received with immense vigor by Indian netizens. Many even went on to share the experiences that they had at these airports.
As per reports, Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) and Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport have become world’s number one with over 40 million passengers per annum (MPPA). Meanwhile, Hyderabad airport ranked number one in the 5 to 15 million passengers per anum category for 2017.
The ASQ survey covers 34 service areas, including access, check-in, security, airport facilities, food, beverage and retail. It might be noted that Delhi and Hyderabad Airports are managed by GMR group and Mumbai airport is managed by GVK group.
