Finance minister Arun Jaitley on Thursday unveiled the Union Budget 2018-19 in the Parliament. FM Jaitley started his address by highlighting that the ‘government led by Prime Minister Narendra has successfully implemented a series of fundamental structural reforms.’ He further said that Budget 2018 will focus on agriculture, rural economy, health, infrastructure and senior citizens.

Merely a few hours after the game-changing budget, Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke exclusively to Republic TV’s Editor in Chief.

On speaking to Republic TV, the Union Minister said,

“We have come out with a large plan for a detailed health ecosystem. It will lead to jobs, it will lead to investments”

He added, 

"India today has become the third biggest startup movement in the world. India has the biggest footprint on Facebook, Whatsapp, and Twitter. I am contemplating to make India's digital economy a $1 trillion economy"

While speaking about the response received on the Budget from the Opposition, the Union Minister added, "There is a bond. The bond of anti-Congressism, the bond of how the Nation is developing under PM Modi: Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on BJP-TDP alliance"
