Ahead of Karnataka Elections, another appalling comment has come to light by JDS MLA Iqbal Ansari of Koppal district of the state. In the video, the JDS leader has accused Hindu fringe leaders of raping women and further spews venom against them.

He said,

“These people chant Jai Shri Ram in their homes. Once they venture out, they go on a rampage and rape women. They also create a ruckus on the road at night. Has God told them to create such nuisance? The Bhagavad Gita, Quran and Bible does not convey this message.”

The JDS leaders’ comment comes merely a few days after BJP MLA V Sunil Kumar stirred a controversy when he said that the contest in Bantwal constituency during the coming assembly polls will be between Allah and Lord Rama.

The legislative assembly election in the state of Karnataka is scheduled to be held in April or May 2018, with a view to elect members of the 224 constituencies. The tenure of Karnataka assembly comes to an end on May 28, 2018
