BHF Women’s motorcycle team ‘Seema Bhawani’ on Friday displayed spectacular formation, expertise and skill in motorcycle riding on Rajpath during the 69th Republic Day celebrations. The BSF motorcycle team ‘Seema Bhawani’ was led by Sub Inspector Stanzin Noryang. ‘Seema Bhawani’ comprising 106 riders on 26 Motorcycles have gained expertise in motorcycle riding in a very short span of time, which speaks volume of their grit and determination.Notably, these riders not only safeguard the motherland but also thrill and captivate spectators by displaying motorcycle riding skills whenever they are called upon to do so.
Seema Bhawani' of Border Security Force was the main attraction of the Republic Day celebrations, which was raised at Central School of Motor Transport (CSMT), BSF Academy Tekanpur on 20th October 2016.
The nation is celebrating its 69th Republic Day. For the first time ever, leaders of 10 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) countries - Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Myanmar (Burma), Cambodia, Laos and Brunei graced the Republic Day parade as chief guests in the national capital.
The parade ceremony commenced at the Amar Jawan Jyoti at India Gate, where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the nation in paying homage to the martyrs by laying a wreath.
Tableaux from 14 States and UT, Nine Central Ministries, Departments and Central Paramilitary Force presented the varied historical, art and cultural heritage of the country. They also showcased country's progress in different fields, particularly floats from Karnataka, Gujarat, Tripura, Maharashtra, Assam, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur and Kerala with their varied themes. The floats of All India Radio, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Income Tax Department showcased the rapid development of some of the flagship programmes of the Government.
