Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) MP Sakshi Maharaj has inaugurated a nightclub in Lucknow on Sunday. As per reports, the nightclub is called 'let's meet' and is located in the Aliganj area of the Uttar Pradesh.
This however raised several eyebrows. A day after the inauguration, Maharaj has now lodged a complaint seeking an action against a party organiser who urged him to inaugurate the club.
While speaking to a renowned media house, Maharaj said that he was told by former UP state president Rajjan Singh that the nightclub was a restaurant owned by his son-in-law.
He further said that he is not only an MP but also a Sadhu, and is suppose to stay away from it. He then added that he wants the night club's license to be canceled.
BJP has found itself in a similar situation earlier as well. Earlier a BJP MLA Swati Singh had inaugurated a beer bar in Lucknow.
