Republic TV has exclusively accessed the sensational CCTV footage of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist who joined terror group Hizbul Mujahideen, Naveed Jhatt aka Abu Hanzala, who escaped after terrorists opened fire in Srinagar’s biggest hospital Shri Maharaja Hari Singh hospital on Tuesday.
In the visuals, a Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist, who had opened fire in the hospital, is seen waiting for Abu Hanzala outside the entrance, hiding behind a wall, with an AK47 under his clothes. As soon as Abu Hanzala walks in to be taken into the hospital, he looks towards his right and makes eye contact with the terrorist. After exchanging glances, the terrorist follows Hanzala into the hospital following which he opens fire at a policeman.
This CCTV footage raises a possibility of the terror plot being hatched inside the Central Jail, from where Abu and five other prisoners were being brought to the hospital after complaining of stomach ache.
The video also exposes a shocking security lapse. A terrorist as dreaded as Abu Hanzala was escorted into the hospital by only two policemen.
Republic TV also exclusively got access to pictures from Abu Hanzala's escape from the hospital after the firing. Here are the pictures:
Abu Hanzala is reportedly hiding in Kulgam district in Kashmir. Police have refused to divulge any details for security reasons.
In a latest development, three have been arrested in the Srinagar hospital attack case.
On Tuesday, two Jammu and Kashmir policemen were martyred in Srinagar hospital attack. Naveed snatched weapons from police and fired at the protection party while he was being brought from Central Jail along with five other prisoners. While the police nabbed the five prisoners, Naveed managed to flee away from the spot.
