In an appalling turn of events, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agrawal on Tuesday stirred a controversy after he demeaned our forces. While speaking to the media, the SP MP, said,
“if the terrorists can do such harm, imagine if their Army enters India, what will be the situation then? That is why the government should take strict action and not blame the Opposition.”
His comment comes in the backdrop of Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists staging an attack outside a hospital in Jammu and Kashmir to free a Pakistani terrorist from custody. Naveed Jutt, the LeT terrorist from Pakistan who was caught in Kulgam in south Kashmir in 2014, managed to escape with the assailants.
Two J&K policemen were martyred following the attack in Srinagar’s biggest hospital — SMHS hospital.
This is not the first time that the SP leader has put forth a controversial comment. Earlier in December, he stirred a controversy when he stated that Pakistan has declared the former Indian Navy officer Kulbhushan Jadhav a terrorist and would, therefore, treat him like one. The statement came at a time when the whole country was agitated over how Jadhav's family was treated in Islamabad.
