The Congress party has released another video slamming BJP’s education policy. The video posted by the official Twitter handle of the Congress claimed that the BJP is saffronising education and if it has its way ‘children may never know who built Taj Mahal and who killed Mahatma Gandhi’. The video was posted hours after the party announced its 57 candidates for the Meghalaya elections, which is scheduled to be held on February 27.
“If the BJP has its way, our children may not know who built the #TajMahal or who killed #MahatmaGandhi. #SaveOurHistory,” Congress wrote.
The new video of the party indicates towards this trend of one video a day.
Reacting to the Congress’ new video, BJP’s GVL Narsimha Rao said,
“The kinds of video the Congress is putting out shows that it has give up hope and it has converted into a cheap video production house.”
Earlier on January 22, the Congress uploaded a video mocking the Centre. In the video the party slammed Union minister Ananth Kumar Hegde and alleged that “Hegde is only following their legacy.” Earlier in December, the Union Minister of State for Employment and Skill Development had stirred a controversy when he was as quoted as saying, "Seculars do not know what their blood is. Yes, the constitution has given that right to say 'we are secular and we will say it'. Yes, I know but the constitution has been amended many times, we will also amend it. We have come to power for that."
Prior to this the Karnataka Congress uploaded a video where it termed the BJP as a ‘Beef Janata Party.’ In a post, they wrote, “Parrikar wants to import it, Yogi wants to export it, Rijiju wants to eat it, Som wants to sell it. Do not mix Beef and Business. Mixing Beef and Politics, a definite YES! Enough of your hypocrisy”
