Congress supported Independent Dalit leader Jignesh Mevani was in for a very rude reception at a rally in Vadgam, Gujarat, when the crowd instead of responding to his call to shout out religious slogans started chanting 'Modi Modi', leaving him both miffed as well as embarrassed.

According to the video shown,  Dalit leader Jignesh asked the crowd that if they wanted him to shout "Jai Sri Ram" then they too will first have to shout "Allah hu Akbar."

Instead of obliging the leader, the crowd instead chose to shut up his provocative speech by shouting out chants of Modi Modi. The leader tried a cheeky retort by shouting his own name but couldn't compete with the feverous crowd.
