For what appears to be two days in a row, Taiwan’s parliament has resulted in chaos and mayhem yet again after a brawl broke out when lawmakers from the ruling and opposition parties began battling over budget proposals. President Tsai Ing-wen's proposal aims at building light rail lines, flood control measures and green energy facilities, but the opposition Kuomintang is against the project as it believes that it is an attempt by the ruling party to secure support for themselves ahead of next year’s regional elections.
The video shows politicians throwing chairs, splashing water and literally shoving one another. Chairs and papers also were thrown creating an all the more dramatic scenario.
