In a world where things have become more digitally inclined now than ever before, pictures and videos specifically are quick to go viral. If the content has got anything to do with optical illusion then the netizens lose their minds over it. Just when you think you have all the answers, the internet throws yet another wicked curve-ball your way and this time, it’s an image of a couple hugging on the beach.

Can’t figure out what’s wrong with the picture?

The reason why the picture has gone viral is that the image has left people amused and bewildered at the same time. In the image that is gone viral, netizens cannot understand as to who is hugging whom and where their legs are placed.  

The picture was originally shared on a news aggregation website earlier this year and already has over 5 million views. Even though it has been a pretty long time since the image was shared on the internet, it still manages to drive the viewers insane.

The secret behind the illusion is the man's shorts which is in two colours. It is black on the sides and white in the middle.  It's the white in the middle that matches the woman's shorts exactly, creating the illusion.

In an optical illusion what we perceive initially through our vision differs from the reality. In countries like Australia, United States, etc. several authorities are using optical illusions of 3D paintings of potholes or broken roads to control the sp[eed of the vehicles. But no matter what, the optical illusion created naturally/ accidentally surpass the charm the charm of every artificial effort.
