The Internet Is Drooling Over This South Korean Barista And Here’s Why

Saniya Rao |

Barista Lee Kang-bin from South Korea has created a storm on Instagram with his incredible coffee art which is miniatures of famous paintings and characters, ranging from Gogh’s The Starry Night to Pokemon's, on foamy cups of java at his cafe in Central Seoul. Lee, 26, has a total of 179 thousand followers (and counting) on his social media account for his meticulous strokes of tiny brushes and talent of using thick cream stained with food colouring as a top up for a hot cup of coffee.

It is reported, that Lee takes merely 15-minute per design on a coffee cup and has won hearts from visitors at his cafe and many online.

On his Instagram, Lee shares images and videos of what he calls ‘creamart.’ While speaking to an international daily, Lee shared his journey with coffee and said that he has actually never learned how to draw. Lee added that he started brewing at the age of 17 and eventually developed a liking towards the hot cup of cocoa. He reportedly opened his first coffee for his fellow soldiers near the border with North Korea when he was completing his mandatory military service.

Lee also regularly conducts ‘Creamart’ classes. He believes, “Latte Art is beautiful. I learnt the recipe of ‘Creamart’. Now it’s time to make and drink it yourself (sic)”
