Team Republic |

Garbiñe Muguruza is the 2017 Wimbledon ladies singles champion! The Spaniard beat 37-year-old Venus Williams 7-5, 6-0 in a clinical performance. This is Muruguza's maiden Wimbledon title and her second grand slam victory after winning last year's French Open.

Garbiñe Muguruza is Spain's only second Wimbledon ladies singles champion after Conchita Martinez won it in 1994, the latter was present at the Centre Court to witness Muruguza's victory.
