Bid adieu to bits of trailers, photos and spoilers. The new episode of Game of Thrones is finally out! Not too long ago, the show's creators announced that 'Castle on the Hill' singer, Ed Sheeran will be making an appearance in the show and ever since then social media has been bursting with enthusiasm.
Sheeran also posted a picture of himself on Instagram. He captioned the picture, "throwback to the time I was a Lannister"
The singer appeared approximately 39-minutes into the show when his unnamed character’s voice captured the attention of young Arya Stark as she rode through the forest.
"It's a pretty song, I've never heard it before," says Arya.
"It's a new one," Sheeran’s unnamed character responds.
The song is infact lifted straight from the books.
Many fans took to Twitter to commend the singer on his debut, speculate about new ideas and with some others riffing on which artists they expect on the show next.
However, the 'Thinking Out Loud' hit-maker's cameo appearance didn't go down that well among some fans.
The show has been running since 2011 and saw the first episode of season seven unfold on Monday.
