Incredible outpouring of joy sends tremors through social media as India does what it likes to do best - win a World Cup!

The wishes have poured in for the Indian U-19 Cricket team that won the World Cup in New Zealand by comfortably defeating Australia in the final. In doing so, India becomes the first country to win the tournament on 4 occasions!

There's only one person to start off with - the one who likely inspired many in the team and many in their generation to pick up a bat and use it to hit a ball really hard. Sachin Tendulkar has sent in a video message which starts with: "With great team work, big dreams work!" Congratulations to our world champions! Here's the video:

Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag didn't even wait for the winning run to be scored! He began his celebrations early, hitting Twitter sixes thusly:

"These boys in such safe hands. Safest hands of Rahul Dravid. Great great contribution for the future of these youngsters and Indian Cricket. We have some great upcoming talent"

"Every Indian is delighted, all credit to Rahul Dravid for committing himself to these young kids ,and a legend like him deserves to lay his hands on the WC. Only Fitting. "

As is evident, Sehwag credits Rahul Dravid.

Indian Captain Virat Kohli who is currently on tour in South Africa also took to twitter to express his happiness over the victory. Having captained the side that won the tournament in 2008, We're sure Kohli would have had quite a lot of advice to give these boys before their trip to New Zealand. 

Leg-spin legend Anil Kumble also joined in, though with all the exuberance you'd expect from a former senior team coach who would like to not let the win get to the youngsters' heads. He wrote: 

"Congratulations to the young lads on winning #U19CWC! Fantastic performances all around."

Another member of that legendary Indian cricket team, VVS Laxman, who knows a little bit about beating Australia, also congratulated the Boys in Blue:

A superstar who knows all about winning the World Cup, and is the likeliest of all to form a bridge between that great team and this upcoming one (as well as the current Dhoni-Kohli axis), Yuvraj Singh, has also thrown his hat in:

"Many congratulations to India u19 on winning the World Cup ! Great team effort no suprises at all on such a champion side #RahulDravid"

Gautam Gambhir, who was the lynchpin of India's defeat of Sri Lanka in the 2011 World Cup, couldn't help but harken back to it:

And in a grand sporting gesture, Shahid Afridi, the captain of the Pakistan side that lost to India in the 2011 World Cup knock-outs, has given the Boys in Blue his nod:

"Congratulations India, exceptional U19 team, great coach and mentor in Rahul Dravid. Future stars in the making."

From the other great love of India, Bollywood, the two biggest superstars have taken the cake in terms of wit and passion (respectively):

Shah Rukh Khan wrote: "Wow. What a proud moment for young India. Well done lil ones…May u keep conquering the world. And keep playing FIFA ...on the side. A great morning."
