Even though the headline is pretty clear, The following article contains information which can be regarded as spoilers if you haven’t seen the latest episode of HBO blockbuster Game of Thrones, Spoils of War.

Now the fourth episode of the new season received tremendous response when it was released on Sunday. The shortest episode of the season so far, this episode had the audience losing their mind over it. But there are so many other details and sequences that happened in that episode — which is also one of the shortest ever Game of Thrones episode (Can you believe that? Not cool, HBO) — that has the potential of literally blowing your mind off.

So here are the top seven Easter eggs you would have probably missed in the episode -

The Golden Company of Essos -

In the very tactical and content conversation between Queen Cersei Lannister and Tycho Nestoris — played by ‘Sherlock’ writer Mark Gatiss — where the Iron Bank extends their support to the Lannisters, Tycho mentions the name ‘The Golden Company’. Now book readers would have already gone bonkers now with the mention of that name. But for others, The Golden Company is a group of sellswords founded by Aegon Rivers — the bastard son of Targaryen ruler Aegon IV.

While most sellswords are unreliable, the reputation of the Golden Company is pretty high, having never broken a contract except at the free city of Myr in a battle when Aegon targaryen II was in power. Now if The Colden Company is to support Cersei, this would pose a great threat for the Unsullied and the Dothraki.

‘Chaos is a ladder’ -

When the supreme schemster of Westeros, Petyr Baelish tries his way with the three-eyed raven A.K.A Brandon Stark, Bran utters ‘Chaos is a ladder’ to which Littlefinger has no response. Now it’s probably easy to miss out but these were the same words said by Baelish when he sent assassins to kill Bran in the first place.

Does that mean Bran knows it was Petyr who sent the assassins to kill him, which eventually started the War of the five kings? He must right? After all he is the three-eyed raven. But if he does, would that mean Bran will snap out his cold demeanor and take revenge on Baelish?

Spiral in the cave -

When Jon shows Daenerys the cave paintings made by the Children of the Forest at Dragonstone, most of it had a similar pattern on it, something which looked a lot like the spiral formations made by the White Walkers in previous episodes. Now not much can be derived from it, but if at all these formations are a key in the future battles then the answer might just lie in the cave.

Jon and Dany gets a theme song -

One underlying truth of the show is that whatever happens in Game of Thrones, happens for a reason. Now the whole sequence in the cave where Jon shows Daenerys the dragonglass and the paintings had a different music, one which we have never heard before.

Now, it’s safe to say that this is probably Jon and Dany’s theme song. We all know tensions are rising between the two rulers. Now the question is will Jon and Dany get it on before Jon’s secret is out?

Like minds think alike -

When Daenerys asks Jon “Isn’t their survival more important than your pride?” A lot of you wouldn’t have noticed but these were the exact same words Jon said to Wildling leader Mance Ryder when latter was held captive at the Wall.

Of course this doesn’t have any deeper meaning to it, but it clearly shows that Daenerys and Jon share the same moral.

Lone Wolf returns -

According to the writers of the show, Arya’s return to Winterfell was inspired by the poem of Odyssey by Homer where nobody recognises her at home. This fits well to the character buildup of Arya who in her long long journey went from being someone else to even no one, but was never Arya Stark.

Symbolic in a way, This return was testimony to Arya’s journey of disguise and now how difficult would it be for Arya to fully return as a Stark?

Davos, The Grammar King -

Remember when Stannis Baratheon used to correct the illiterate Davos Seaworth when the latter used to make grammatical errors? Looks like Davos doesn’t forget that quickly as he expertly corrected the King in the North in the sequence when Jon says less instead of fewer.
