Adrishya Jalakangal has a sombre twist

The makers of Adrishya Jalakangal recently released the trailer of the film, just ahead of its international premiere at the 27th Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival. The premise of the film captures the impending doom looming ahead of war set to break out. Tovino plays the role of a man who cannot only see visions of dead people but also communicates with them. How these two parallel stories intertwine makes up the film's plot.

Tovino Thomas appears to be on a roll with the kind of content he is choosing to star in. 2018: Everyone is a Hero is the first example of this. This is followed by Adrishya Jalakangal, which happens to be the first Malayalam film to compete at the Tallinn Black Nights International Film Festival.

Adrishya Jalakangal is deviation from the director's repertoire

Adrishya Jalakangal has been directed by Dr Biju - short for Dr Bijukumar Damodaran. The director is known for his repertoire of arthouse films like Valiya Chirakulla Pakshikal, Akashathinte Niram and Veettilekkulla Vazhi

Adrishya Jalakangal, on the other hand, strongly involves a context of fantasy, something previously unexplored by the director.
