Kota: In a tragic incident, an 18-year-old NEET aspirant allegedly jumped to death from ninth floor of a building in city, police said on Thursday.

deceased student has been identified as Bagisha Tiwari, who lived on fifth floor of multi-storey building with her mor and bror, allegedly died by suicide on Wednesday, y said. She was rushed to a private hospital but succumbed to her injuries an hour later, y ded.

Hailing from Rewa district in Mhya Presh, Tiwari h been preparing for NEET (UG) exam in a coaching institute in Kota.
Her bror, a Class 12 student, is a Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) aspirant, Circle Inspector at Jawahar Nagar Police Station, Harinarayan Sharma, told PTI on Thursday morning. 

National Testing ncy h declared results of medical entrance exam on Tuesday. It is tenth such case of suspected suicide by a student in Kota, since January this year. Last year, 26 suspected suicide cases by coaching students were reported -- highest in last few years.

body has been kept in mortuary of Maharao Bhim Singh (MBS) Hospital for post-mortem, which will be conducted after arrival of girl's far who has been informed about incident, CI said. Initial inquiry revealed she h appeared for NEET-UG exam but reason behind her extreme step was yet to be ascertained, Sharma ded.
