Indian assembled Kawasaki ZX10R sold out in less than 15 days

All models of the Kawasaki ZX10R has been sold in less than 15 days after it was launched

Barely 15 days after it announced the production of its liter class bike in India. Kawasaki has already notified all the showroom to not accept any more bookings for the new ZX10R.

The Japanese auto giant decided to shift its production to the new plant in Pune. The new models of ZX10R and ZX10RR saw a whopping price fall of Rs 6 lakh and Rs 5.8 lakh respectively for a limited amount of time till July end. Nonetheless, the bike has been sold out well before the deadline.

The bike is set to roll out in a couple of months. Adding to which, it is still unclear how long one has to wait in order for the bookings to begin again. In the World Superbike Championship, the bike won several titles with racer Jonathan Rea.

The ZX10R  is among the quickest bikes in the liter class that carries a highly affordable price tag. The 998cc engine puts out a maximum power of 200hp and 113.5Nm of torque. Adding to the ride quality, the bike is packed with electronic rider assist technologies such as

Traction control, multi-level power modes, launch control, ABS control, cornering management and engine braking function majority of which is supported by an inertial measuring unit.

The new version of ZX-10R comes with a KRT edition with a few updated graphics, while the ZX-10RR will be available in the same all-black color scheme. Apart from the minute cosmetic changes, the mechanics of the bike has been retained.

With the new price tag, the bike is ready to take on the Honda CBR1000RR  which is priced at Rs 14.78 lakh.
