At Rs 9.99 lakh, Tata Curvv launched in India and rivals Citroen Basalt
Tata Motors has launched the Curvv at introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. It is offered with three engine options, and eight variants.
Tata Curvv launched in India: Tata Motors has introduced the Curvv, the ICE version of its coupe-SUV at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base petrol and Rs 11.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel variant. It was first showcased in August wherein the electric version, Curvv.EV was launched at an aggressive pricing. The regular version of the Curvv is offered with plenty of features, three engine options, and comfortable seating. It is offered in eight different variants and six colour options to choose from. Since Tata Curvv is a coupe-SUV, it mainly rivals the Citroen Basalt in its competition.

Tata Curvv exterior design:
Tata Curvv has a sporty exterior design with great aesthetics. Curvv is very similar to that of the Nexon from the front, having similar LED headlamps, and connected LED DRLs. The raised bonnet and bold stance enhance the road presence of the Curvv.
From the side, Tata Curvv has multiple tyre sizes on offer. It is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels in the top three variants, 17-inch wheels in the mid-trims, and the base model has 16-inch wheels. To improve the aerodynamics and sporty character, Tata Curvv has flush door handles has a light indication for locating the door handle at night. It has a dual-tone colour scheme as well.
Coming to the rear, the Curvv has a similar design as the front. The rear has a connected LED DRL as the front, along with LED brake lamps. The boot is electronically operated and has slightly better storage as compared to the Nexon.
Tata Curvv interior design:
On stepping inside the coupe-SUV, Curvv’s interiors are very similar to other Tata models such as Nexon and Harrier. Tata Curvv comes equipped with leather upholstery which can be selected on the variant the customer opts for, with a dual-tone finish. The four-spoke steering wheel is similar to the Harrier. Curvv offers comfortable seating and great cushioning. On long trips, passengers in the Curvv will not feel fatigued. The rear seats of the Curvv have a recline function as well which enhances the comfort for rear passengers.
Tata Curvv features:
Tata Curvv offers a comprehensive list of features. It is loaded with plenty of features such as 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch driver digital display, six-way power-adjustable seats for the driver, etc. The safety features on the Curvv are decent. It comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with EBD, along with multiple features of the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
Tata Curvv engines:
Tata Curvv has three engines on offer, two-turbo petrol, and a diesel engine, mated to either a six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
There is a 1.2-litre Revertron three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, that churns out 118 BHP and 170 Nm torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Revertron engine is offered on the Nexon as well and powers the lower trims on the Curvv.
The next engine is newly developed by Tata Motors with slightly better power and torque. It is also a 1.2-litre inline three-cylinder turbo petrol engine, but this engine produces 123 BHP and 225 Nm torque. This engine is also mated to a six-speed manual and a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and is offered only in the top three variants.
The Curvv is also powered by a regular diesel engine that is offered on the Nexon as well. This diesel engine is a 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder engine, churning out 115 BHP and 260 Nm torque, having the same configuration of the transmission options as the turbo petrol engine. The diesel engine is mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
