At Rs 14.99 lakh, Hyundai Alcazar launched in India, rivals MG Hector, Tata Safari
Hyundai Alcazar launched at a starting price of Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The exteriors and interiors are fresh with updated feature list on offer.
Hyundai Alcazar facelift: Hyundai India has launched the Alcazar facelift at an ex-showroom price of Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The second-generation SUV has a fresh updated design for exteriors and interiors but the powertrain is the same. The feature list on the Alcazar is also updated. This SUV mainly rivals the Tata Safari, MG Hector, and Mahindra XUV 700 in its segment. Let us have a look at the updates received by Alcazar facelift:
Price of Hyundai Alcazar:
Hyundai Alcazar has been launched at Rs 14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol and Rs 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel variant in India. The SUV mainly rivals the MG Hector, Tata Safari, Tata Harrier, and Mahindra XUV 700 in its segment.
Hyundai Alcazar’s exterior design:
The exterior design of the Hyundai Alcazar facelift is fresh and updated. The front of the Alcazar comes with H-shaped LED DRLs with a connected LED bar along with an LED headlight unit which is inspired by Creta. The bumper is all revised, providing a sporty aesthetic.
From the side, it has 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels which look great. The Alcazar comes with functional roof-rails which enhances the sporty aesthetics. To ensure proper safety and braking, the Alcazar facelift has all four disc brakes on offer.
At the rear, the design of the taillamps is similar to the front. The Alcazar facelift has H-shaped connected LED taillamps, grey bumpers, and dual-exhaust pipes for the turbo-petrol variant.
Hyundai Alcazar interiors design:
As we step inside the SUV, the interior design of the Alcazar facelift is updated and is similar to the Creta. The Alcazar facelift has a dual-tone dashboard, and 10.25-inch connected screens for the infotainment and instrument cluster. The upholstery used in the Alcazar facelift is all updated and the middle row has the option for both captain seats and bench seating options. The touch and feel of materials are great and feel premium. The middle-row passenger now gets updated with the boss-mode function, to adjust the passenger seat electronically.
Hyundai Alcazar features:
The Hyundai Alcazar facelift is now updated with a more comprehensive feature list. For starters, the Alcazar facelift offers ventilated seats for the front and middle rows and a wireless charger as well. There is a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, an air purifier, an NFC card for locking and unlocking the vehicle, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone climate control air conditioning. For safety, the Hyundai Alcazar facelift comes with six airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold, electronic parking brake, traction control, and Level-2 Advanced Driver Assistance System safety features.
Hyundai Alcazar powertrains:
The Hyundai Alcazar has the same powertrain as the current model. The Alcazar facelift continues to offer the same turbo petrol and diesel engines. The 1.5-litre inline four-cylinder turbo petrol engine churns out 160 BHP and 253 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DCT transmission. The diesel engine is the regular unit that is present on the Creta and Venue. This engine is a 1.5-litre diesel engine, that churns out 115 BHP and 250 Nm torque, mated to a six-speed manual or a torque converter gearbox.
