BJP MP Udit Raj writes to CBI, demands Chanda Kochhar, Deepak Kochhar's arrest

BJP MP Udit Raj has written a letter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) demanding arrest of Chanda Kochhar and Deepak Kochhar. In his letter he alleged the misuse of power and authority by Chanda Kochhar in connivance with Deepak Kochhar and Venugopal Dhoot.

"I've gone through the complaint of Arvind Gupta, which clearly shows the misuse of power authority by Chanda Kochhar in criminal conspiracy with Deepak Kochhar & Venugopal Dhoot squandered public money through fake loans running into thousands of Crores," said Udit Raj.

Udit Raj also alleged that ICICI Bank is whitewashing Chanda Kochhar's crime by making a lame alibi. "ICICI Bank is whitewashing the crime of Chanda Kochhar by making a lame alibi that the entire 40,000 crores exposure of Dhoots have been defaulted of which ICICI's exposure is only 10%," said the BJP MP.

Later, while speaking to Republic TV, Udit Raj said that he in previous occasions too, had written letters to CBI over the issue but to no avail.

"First letter I wrote was in 2012 and second in 2013 and in the parliament also I raised this question. Under several schemes like Rajiv gandhi Swasthya Shilpy Bima Yojna, 30000 crores were enrolled, out of 13000 were fictitious and ghost. I had mentioned in my letter and IRDA took it up and that time Mr RK Nair was chief of IRDA and he didn't do and CBI too registered a case in Jaipur in 2013. After that the case was closed with recommendation that police would investigate. Perhaps the CBI was pressurised," he said,

The BJP MLA has alleged the role Mr RK Nair in the scam saying he should be arrested immediately.

"Mr RK Nair Should also be arrested immediately because he settled for Rd10 lakh for the embezzlement of about 700 crores, or 800 crore or I think 1000 crore. I couldn't do much despite that I raised the issue in parliament and the concerned ministry also replied but I was not satisfied, they said that they are inquiring after that I have not heard about this. Had this PNB matter wouldn't have come ICICI matter would also not have surfaced," said Udit Raj.

He further said that Chanda Kochhar is much more powerful than any MP or minister.

"Chanda Kochhar is much more powerful than MP or minister because CBI didn't do anything in Jaipur, I raised the issue in Parliament but nothing happened," he said.
