Aerospace company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), on Friday, reported a profit of Rs 814 crore, an increase of over 30 per cent year-on-year, against Rs 620 crore in the same quarter last year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Its revenue jumped over 8 per cent to Rs 3,915 crore as opposed to Rs 3,623 crore in the same quarter previous fiscal.
Hindustan Aeronautics’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation soared over 6 per cent to Rs 877 crore against Rs 826 crore in the same quarter last year. However, its margin dropped 40 basis points to 22.4 percent against 22.8 percent in the same quarter last year.
Set up before Independence in 1940, Hindustan Aeronautics is among the oldest and largest aerospace and defense manufacturers in the world. The market capitalisation of the company is approximately Rs 1.27 lakh crore.
