Elon Musk reveals his plans to expand Tesla's 'partial' presence to- India by the end of 2019

Tesla Motors' CEO Elon Musk, on November 3 unveiled the company’s plan to expand its market beyond North America, China, and Europe. 

The company plans to produce the Model 3 in China and have given out hints at achieving 7000 units production capacity. Musk through Twitter stated that recently he asked his service team to advance to all populated places in North America, Eastern Europe, China, and Japan by the end of 2019. He even admitted to missing vast geographic regions.

In a tweet following that, CEO of Tesla Motors stated that he is hopeful to expand his presence to regions like India, Africa, and South America by the end of 2019 and further expansion in the year 2020. Giving India a reason to smile.

Back in 2015, Prime Minister Modi had tweeted expressing how enthralled he was by the power ball technology of Tesla Motors that stores electricity in a battery for a long stretch. PM Modi even became the observer of Elon Musk’s presentation on ground-breaking technologies that are being developed by Tesla. These developments promise to revamp the face of the motor industry and have greater implications on nations like India on renewable energy.

This projects the Tesla Motor’s eagerness to enter the Indian market and push their boundaries ahead. The entry of the company in India would boost the electric car market in the country.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk who had garnered huge attention after announcing his future for the EV giant was recently interviewed by the New York Times where he revealed about all the problems that the company faced in the past year. 

Responding to the interview, Indian automobile giant Mahindra Group's Chairman Anand Mahindra posted a supportive tweet in favour of billionaire engineer back in August 2018.

In his tweet, Mahindra lauded Musk stating that the world needs more 'inspirational innovators' like him. 

In his latest interview with the New York Times, Musk opened up about the problems that were faced by Tesla and how it leeched into Musk's personal life. 'The worst is over' Musk said about Tesla.
