Hitting back at the controversial remark by Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu on Prashant Kishor wherein the former had alleged that the latter had deleted lakhs of voters' names in the state and had also called him a 'Bihari dacoit', National Vice President of JD(U) Kishor on Monday took to Twitter to post a media report saying data theft was done for TDP's Seva Mitra app to delete votes and for targeted campaigning.
The controversy between Andhra CM Naidu and Kishor began when the latter declared after being inducted as JD(U) Vice president that it will continue to mentor his organisation Indian Political Action Committee (IPAC) and advice its team working for Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) in Andhra Pradesh.
In a controversial remark about a month ago, Naidu said: 'Bihari dacoit Prashant Kishor has removed lakhs of votes in Andhra Pradesh'. Responding to his comment, Kishor had taken to Twitter to express his disgust:
On April 11, when the state of Andhra Pradesh went on polls, Kishor accused Naidu of spreading fake news in the state. Sharing a screenshot of what he claimed was being spread by Chandrababu Naidu, he called Naidu as 'ByeByeBabu' and condemned him for stooping as lower as spreading fake news.
Elections in Andhra Pradesh were held on April 11 amidst violent clashes between TDP and YSRCP workers, in which two persons died. There were also disruptions on account of faulty EVMs. Following to the incidences, CM Chandrababu Naidu along with 21 opposition parties had complained about the EVM malfunctioning and delay in Andhra Pradesh elections, demanding the EC to avail counting for 50% of VVPATs.
