Assembly elections 2019 results: Early trends show Congress leading, celebrations begin for party workers

Congress party workers have gathered at Rahul Gandhi's residence to celebrate their victory. As per the initial trends, Congress is taking a lead in four of five states in the assembly elections 2018

While the counting of votes of the assembly election 2018 for five states - Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Mizoram, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan - is still underway on Tuesday, the latest trends have shown the Rahul Gandhi led Congress party taking a lead over the BJP party in all five states. In the light of the projections of the initial trends, Congress party leaders and workers are seen celebrating their victory, even the result is not out yet.

Earlier on Tuesday, Congress workers also performed a 'hawan' outside party chief Rahul Gandhi's residence ahead of the counting of votes.

As per the initial trends in Rajasthan at 10:13 AM, Congress is leading at 98 seats against BJP which is at 79, while Others are at 17 seats. In Chhattisgarh, initial trends at 10:11 AM states that Congress is at 58 seats, while BJP is 25 seats and BSP+ has managed to win 4 seats. As for the trends in crucial Madhya Pradesh, Congress is at triple digit number at 106, while Congress is close to reaching 100 at 99. Others have 13 seats.
