Here’s what Amit Shah said to KCR after his stunning victory

BJP president Amit Shah tweeted about KCR's stunning victory in the Telangana polls on Tuesday.

Only two days ago, the BJP was seeking an alliance with the party, which was turned down in favour of AIMIM.

At the stroke of 5 pm, TRS was leading in 86 seats, with the alliance of Congress and TDP only managing 22. The other seats in the 119-seat assembly were divided between AIMIM and BJP, with the former managing nine while the latter leading in a paltry two seats.

KCR's party's performance, according to the recent trends, was even better than what was predicted in the exit polls. In the poll of polls, a combination of five different polls, TRS were projected to win 65 seats, whereas the Maha Kutami were projected to win 41 seats.

The Maha Kutami (Congress + TDP + TJS + CPI) were touted to win a good number of seats, but had a poor result.

The counting of votes started at 8 am on December 11, and initial trends had suggested a close contest between TRS and Maha Kutami. But in a couple of hours following that, KCR's party took the lead, and never looked back.

The BJP, via its state chief K Laxman, had dropped a massive hint on December 9 that it would be open to lending support to KCR's TRS if the opportunity arises to form a government in the state. However, the BJP's support came with a rider, which is that the AIMIM must not be in the same alliance.

 TRS sources have told Republic TV that the party is not looking for the support of the BJP and would rather remain close to the AIMIM.
