Going by the early trends on Tuesday, Congress looks set to form the government in Madhya Pradesh as the party has crossed the 100-seats mark in the Assembly. Following the predictions of initial trends, Congress party workers were seen hailing 'Kamal Nath for CM' chants for state party chief Kamal Nath inside the MPCC headquarter in Madhya Pradesh's capital city Bhopal.
However, what is interesting to note here is as the Congress workers were raising Chief Ministerial slogans for Kamal Nath, there were Jyotiraditya Scindia's posters seen outside the Congress office in Bhopal.
In the light of the latest trends that are showing victory for the Congress party, Madhya Pradesh party chief Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia addressed the questions of the reporters wherein they claimed majority for the party in the state.
Speaking to reporters, Jyotiraditya Scindia said, "This is the blessing of the public. Congress will come to power in Madhya Pradesh. We will ensure development in the state."
However, on being asked about Congress' Chief Ministerial candidate in Madhya Pradesh, Scindia jumping the question said, "let the results come first." Earlier on Tuesday, he took to Twitter to extend best wishes to Congress party leaders and thank the voters of Madhya Pradesh. Take a look:
MP Congress leader Kamal Nath professed confidence in getting a majority for the Congress party in the state as the counting of votes is still underway for the assembly elections 2018.
"We are very confident. We are going to get full majority. No doubt about that: Kamal Nath," he said, while speaking to Republic TV.
Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi led Congress party has yet not declared its party's face for the Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh.
As per the latest trends at 11:26 AM, Congress is leading ahead of BJP at 115 seats, while BJP is at 103. Others are at 12 seats out of the total 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh.
