'Proof For The New Start', Says MNM Chief Kamal Haasan On Assembly Poll Results

While the counting of votes is still underway for four states out of the five states which went into assembly polls in November-December 2018, the Congress is leading ahead of BJP in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh as per the latest trends. In the light of the polls trends, actor and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) chief Kamal Haasan on Tuesday, took to Twitter and stated that it is the assembly elections 2018 results has proved to be the verdict of the people for a 'new' government.

In his tweet, Kamal Haasan, who is all set to contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with his newly launched party, wrote: "Its proof for the new start, its verdict of the people."

As per the poll trends at 6:41, Congress is leading in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, with a neck-to-neck fierce battle with BJP in Madhya Pradesh. In Telangana KCR's TRS is taking the lead, while Congress+ is at the second position. As for Mizoram assembly, MNF has won 26 seats, Congress has won 5 seats, BJP secured 1 seat and Others managed to win 8 seats after the counting of votes in the state.
