Days before the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019, former Chief Minister of Bihar spoke to Republic TV about a range of issues including her claims about government's conspiracy on her husband and RJD chief Lalu Yadav, the candidacy of her daughter Misa Bharti and the relation between his sons Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav.
On the rumours of a feud between her two sons, Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, and Tej Pratap campaigning against the RJD in Jahanabad, she said:
"There's no problem between them. Everything is fine. I talk to him daily. There is no feud in family. Both my sons are fine. You call him, see you can talk to him or not. He will come home when he wants."
She also added that RJD will win all the 40 seats in the state and her son and former deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav will be the Chief Minister of Bihar in 2020
Campaigning for her daughter Misa Bharti, Rabri Devi expressed her confidence on her daughter Misa Bharti's victory from Patliputra seat in Bihar where she is contesting against Union Minister Ram Kripal Yadav. She expressed her confidence that Mahagathbandhan will win 40 seats and attacked PM Modi on 'fake nationalism':
"Misa will win. She is ahead of Ram Kripal.
Narendra Modi shows fake nationalism. He did nothing in terms of development, employment of 2 crore people as promised, 15 lakh people to poor, whenever he comes to Bihar for campaigning he criticizes and attacks Lalu ji and his family. He has threatened that he will send us to jail again if he comes to power. We are not scared. We are not allowed to meet Lalu ji in jail, it's a conspiracy but RJD is strong. We are missing Lalu ji in elections so is everybody, therefore all of us are campaigning. Narendra Modi ji has deviated from real issues," she said.
Reiterating her claim that Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar sent JD(U) vice president Prashant Kishore to her five times expressing his wish to join the Mahagathbandhan again, Rabri Devi said:
"Nitish is playing in the hands of Modi. He had sent Prashant Kishor five times to us. He came and said that he wanted to come back to us again but we refused.
When asked why did she or her party did not reveal it at the time Kishor came, she said that everything is done at the opportune moment."
