The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) released the list for 39 out of 40 seats in Bihar on Saturday. In a surprising move, the party did not give the ticket of Nawada Lok Sabha constituency to sitting MP and Union Minister Giriraj Singh, while giving it to LJP leader Chandan Kumar.
Senior BJP leader Giriraj Singh has been given the ticket from Begusarai constituency.
Speaking to Republic TV over the development, the Union Minister expressed discontent over not being given the Nawada Lok Sabha seat ticket and told that he is upset the decision of party's senior leadership.
"I still have the love and affection of the people of Nawada. I will keep working for Nawada. I have developed a model for rural-economy here. For the government work, I will thank PM and CM of Bihar, that with their support the job no other minister could do, I did," the Union Minister said.
On being asked what was promised to him by the senior leadership of the party over Nawada seat, said I had spoken to the state chief, he had assured me that my seat will not be changed. Later, being asked on the same, he expressed discontent over being contested from Begusarai.
"That is the only dejection. Nothing else. State chief told me, but I will keep on doing my job. There can be many reasons."
On the question, if he is ready to contest from Begusarai, he said, "I will keep doing my job".
"I have never been a target of conspiracy and never will be. I will keep doing my job till my last breath. I am not going to change the flag," he added.
Meanwhile, Union Minister Ravi Shankar is all set to contest the election from Patna Saheb constituency.
