On the last day of campaigning before the final phase of elections on Sunday, Union Minister for Law Ravi Shankar Prasad on Friday has shared the issues on which he is fighting for in Bihar's Patna Sahib constituency while interacting exclusively to Republic media.

"I have told you before, I have roamed 250 villages but I won't comment on the sitting MP. This election is about issues - progress, hope and opportunity. I have raised the issues of security, prosperity, anti-terrorism steps," he said.

The BJP leader, fighting his first Lok Sabha polls faces Congress Leader and sitting MP, Shatrughan Sinha for the Patna Sahib constituency which goes to polls on Sunday. Speaking on the competition he faces, he said that the 'mahagathbandhan' will fail due to its opportunistic coalition.

"Every voter wants to see Narendra Modi as Prime Minister again. Opposition scared of defeat will say such things that BJP will lose. People have love for India in their hearts. Opportunistic coalitions will be answered by the people," he added.

When asked about BJP's chances in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Prasad replied confidently that while allies' help is appreciated, BJP will come into power with an absolute majority.

"BJP will get an absolute majority. Though we respect our allies and they will be present, we will form the government with a historic win," he said.
