As the remaining phases of election approaches, the rift within the Lalu Yadav family in Bihar is out in open. Just a day after Lalu Yadav's elder son Tej Pratap Yadav claimed that he is the 'second Lalu' and 'real blood of  Lalu Yadav', he has further protested against RJD's candidate from Saran district of Bihar.

In a Facebook post on Friday, Tej Pratap said that the Saran seat belonged to his father and hence people should not vote for someone who is not the part of Lalu's family.

He added: "In this traditional seat of Saran, someone outside the family should not get the vote. I appeal that people of Saran should not for him. He is an impersonator.  He will work to deceive the great citizens of Saran. He is like a colour-changing chameleon. Therefore, I appeal don't waste your vote on this RJD candidate."

RJD has fielded Chandrika Rai, the sitting RJD MLA from Parsa assembly segment. He has a political legacy as his father, Daroga Prasad Rai, was the chief minister of Bihar in 1970. Having served as a cabinet minister in Bihar twice, it was Rai's daughter Aishwarya Rai who was married to Tej Pratap last year. However, he later claimed that 'he was forced to marry for political benefits' and filed his divorce within six months of marriage.

Earlier, when he announced his party Lalu Rabri Morcha, sources had informed that he wanted to contest from his father's seat of Saran. On Friday, speaking in the rally, Tej Pratap said: "Lalu ji used to take up a round of the villages in his helicopter. But these netas today gets tired in two programmes only. I asked Tejashwi to save our father's legacy. Lalu Prasad Yadav used to do 10-12 rallies in a day. Nowadays leaders get tired after 2 rallies. Lalu Prasad is my ideal and he is my teacher and I am here for him. I follow him, he is the example of an energetic human being."

Tej Pratap said: "Why is there an issue on who to vote for in Jahanabad? Vote for Chandra Prakash, people are with me, the voters are with me, I am the legacy of Lalu Yadav, I am his blood. I am the second Lalu Yadav of Bihar."

Despite continuous claims by former Chief Minister of Bihar and Lalu Yadav's wife Rabri Devi that there is no feud in the family, Tej Pratap's open protest in various places in Bihar while the Lok Sabha election is underway, hints a massive rift.
