As the remaining phases of Lok Sabha election 2019 approaches, former Chief Minister of Bihar Rabri Devi created controversy while talking to media Bihar's capital Patna on Wednesday by targetting Prime Minister Narendra Modi again. When asked about Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra's 'Duryodhana' remark, she called the PM 'jallad'(executioner) and hurled abuses at him.
While campaigning for her daughter Misa Bharti who is contesting from Patliputra Lok Sabha seat, RJD chief Lalu Yadav's wife said:
"The kind of language PM is using, he is 'naali ka keeda' (insects of the gutter). These people from JD(U) and the BJP all of them are 'naali ka keeda'. She (Priyanka Gandhi Vadra) is wrong in saying Duryodhana, she should have used different language, he (PM) is an executioner. He who kills and abducts judges and journalists, this type of man will have what type of mindset and mentality, it will be ferocious. He is an executioner."
On Tuesday, in an election rally in Haryana's Ambala, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that the PM has kind of pride similar to that of Duryodhana of Mahabharata.
Addressing a gathering, she said: "This country has never forgiven the arrogance. History is the proof, Mahabharata is the proof. Duryodhana had the same pride. When Lord Krishna went to show him the path of truth, he made him the prisoner." She also quoted lines from a famous Hindi poem by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar's poem "Jab nash manush par chata hai pehle vivek mar jata hai" (When a person is clouded by destruction, his sense of reason and rationality dies first)."
Further, Rabri Devi claimed that Misa Bharti will win the election because the contest is one-sided. She then added that unlike the PM she is not using a helicopter to fly, but gauging the situation on the ground.
