Tejashwi gets under Prashant Kishor's skin, precipitates dynasty attack in response to Lalu's big Nitish claim

On Friday, JD(U) vice president Prashant Kishor took to Twitter to reject Tejashwi Yadav's reiteration of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav's claim that Nitish Kumar had sought to re-forge the Mahagathbandhan within six months of pulling away to form a government with the BJP

On Friday, JD(U) vice president Prashant Kishor took to Twitter to reject Tejashwi Yadav's reiteration of RJD supremo Lalu Yadav's claim that Nitish Kumar had sought to re-forge the Mahagathbandhan within six months of pulling away to form a government with the BJP. Kishor made it personal with Tejashwi, telling him to 'do something on his own' claiming that right now people only knew him (Tejashwi) because of his father.

On Friday, Tejashwi had reiterated his father’s claim saying:

"I say this with full responsibility, Nitish Kumar made many attempts to get back and ally with us, he tried many different approaches, that also within 6 months of returning to NDA."

Kishor, in his tweet, said:

('Even today, your identity in front of people is of Lalu's son and that is the only achievement you have got.  It is only because of this very reason that you are RJD chief, in the absence of your father. You were made Deputy CM in Nitish Kumar-led government because you were Lalu's son. But you will gain your real identity when you do something at the behest of your own calibre.')

Tejashwi Yadav was made the Deputy Chief Minister in the 'Mahagathbandhan' government (alliance government) of RJD and JD(U) in 2015. However, in July 2017, disapproving of the corruption cases that the Lalu family has come to be embroiled in, including Lalu's own multiple convictions and jailing in Fodder scam cases, Nitish Kumar broke the JD(U)-RJD alliance and returned to the NDA fold.

It was Lalu who in his upcoming book has claimed that Nitish Kumar had second thoughts six months after taking the decision and sent Kishor as an emissary to meet with him. Kishor, for his part, has admitted to having met Lalu multiple times, though not for the reasons given.

"The claims made by Laluji as reported are BOGUS. This is nothing but a poor attempt seeking relevance by a leader whose best days are behind him. Yes, we did meet many times before I joined JDU, but if I were to tell what all was discussed then he would be quite embarrassed," Prashant Kishor had said.
