After Tej Pratap Yadav tweeted an emotional post saying he missed his father Lalu Prasad Yadav as he was being ignored at Misa Bharti's rally, his sibling Tejashwi Yadav has brushed off talks of rift in the family.
Getting into a damage control mode, the younger sibling on Friday said that Tej Pratap always speaks during his rally but could not the last time as there was time constraint.
"He has spoke at every stage, whenever I was on a rally. There is also the aspect of time constaint, we also had to do a roadshow," he said.
Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Thursday posted an emotional tweet saying #IMissYouPapa after he was not allowed to speak in a mahagathbandhan rally attended by Rahul Gandhi and his siblings Misa Bharti and Tejashwi Yadav.
The tweet by him, which shows all is not well in the Yadav parivar says, "मेरे आदरणीय पिता के अनुपस्थिति की वजह से मुझे आज बोलने नहीँ दिया गया।( As my father was not here, I was not allowed to speak)"
Tej Pratap Yadav was in the list of speakers in the rally held at Bikram in Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency for Misa Bharti. Rahul Gandhi had addressed the rally and as per sources wanted Tej Pratap Yadav to speak. However, sources say that Tejashwi's supporters did not allow him to speak in the rally.
Sources also sais that leaders in mahagatbandhan believe Pratap may cause embarrassment and consider him to be a 'misguided missile'. During yesterday's rally, the family feud seems to have come to a flashpoint.
