Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav, on Thursday posted an emotional tweet saying #IMissYouPapa after he was not allowed to speak in a mahagathbandhan rally attended by Rahul Gandhi and his siblings Misa Bharti and Tejashwi Yadav.
The tweet by him, which shows all is not well in the Yadav parivar says, "मेरे आदरणीय पिता के अनुपस्थिति की वजह से मुझे आज बोलने नहीँ दिया गया।( As my father was not here, I was not allowed to speak)"
Tej Pratap Yadav was in the list of speakers in the rally held at Bikram in Pataliputra Lok Sabha constituency for Misa Bharti. Rahul Gandhi had addressed the rally and as per sources wanted Tej Pratap Yadav to speak. However, sources say that Tejashwi's supporters did not allow him to speak in the rally.
Sources also sais that leaders in mahagatbandhan believe Pratap may cause embarrassment and consider him to be a 'misguided missile'. During yesterday's rally, the family feud seems to have come to a flashpoint.
Less than ten days ago, hinting that the inner tussle in the RJD is still on, Lalu Yadav's daughter Misa Bharti, quoted as many as five party leaders when asked that who is leading the party in the absence of her father Lalu Prasad Yadav.
When asked who is leading the party in the absence of Lalu Yadav, she said:
"We all are there, Lalu ji, Tejashwi ji, Tej Pratap ji, Abdul Bari Siddiqui ji, Raghuvansh ji, Tejashwi ji is campaigning, Rabri ji is campaigning, Mahagathbandhan's Upendra Kushwaha is campaigning, Mahagathbandhan's Manjhi ji is campaigning. There is nothing as you think. If you recall Tej Pratap's interview, you will remember that he said Tejashwi is his Arjuna (from Mahabharata) and he is with Mahagathbandhan."
Lalu Prasad Yadav is currently behind the bars for the Fodder scam. On April 10, the Supreme Court had dismissed Lalu Prasad Yadav's bail plea. Yadav, who has been in a hospital for about eight months now, had sought bail on medical grounds. The decision came after the Central Bureau of Investigation had filed an affidavit before the opposing the bail plea of Yadav convicted in the fodder scam.
