Here's What PM Modi's Mother Gifted Him As A Blessing As He Heads To Cast His Vote In The Third Phase Of 2019 Polls

Meeting his mother, PM Modi bows down to his mother to take her blessing, following which they shared sweets and some quality time together.

Ahead of casting his vote in the third phase of General Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi went to his mother Heeraben's residence in Gujarat's Gandhinagar to seek her blessing. Meeting his mother, PM Modi bows down to his mother to take her blessing, following which they shared sweets and some quality time together.

She also gifted him a precious shawl of Goddess Mahakali from the Pavagadh Temple, Gujarat.

After meeting his mother, Prime Minister came out the residence and took a walk in front of the road where he met people from the neighbourhood. PM Modi, who is close to his mother, pays his visit to her every time he is in Gujarat. She lives with his brother Pankaj on the outskirts of Gandhinagar. 

After meeting with his mother, the Prime Minister will cast his vote in Ranip, Ahmedabad, Gujarat in the biggest phase of the Lok Sabha polls 2019. 

Ahead of casting his votes, Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter calling out people to cast their "precious votes" that will shape the direction of the nations in the years to come.

In the biggest phase (third) of 2019 General Elections, the stakes are high for the ruling BJP and its allies with prominent seats, including all constituencies in Gujarat and Kerala going to polls. BJP president Amit Shah from Gandhinagar, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi (Wayanad) and several Union ministers among prominent candidates in the fray.

Besides all seats in Gujarat (26) and Kerala (20), voting will be held in four seats in Assam, five in Bihar, seven in Chhattisgarh, 14 each in Karnataka and Maharashtra, six in Odisha, 10 in Uttar Pradesh, five in West Bengal, two in Goa, and one each in Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Daman and Diu and Tripura in the third phase of Lok Sabha polls. 

The Lok Sabha polls are being held in seven-phases for 543 seats and the counting of votes will be on May 23.
