'Everything is fictional... this disclaimer will appear before Rahul Gandhi's speech after few days', says Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis

Days ahead of the second phase of Lok Sabha elections on April 18, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devandra Fadnavis took a jibe on Congress President Rahul Gandhi while addressing a poll rally in the Ahmedabad in Gujarat on Sunday.

Mocking the promises of the Congress and its chief Rahul Gandhi, Fadnavis said that whatever they say is fictional and all characters in their story is imaginary. 

He said that Rahul Gandhi uses the term quoted by his grandmother - 'Graibi hatao'. This was used by his father too. Comparing their quote of 'Garibi hatao' to the disclaimer that appears before a television show, he said that the same disclaimer of 'everything is fictional' or 'all characters are fictional' will appear before Rahul Gandhi's speech.

He further claimed that the Congress party makes fun of the poor by using 'garibi hatao' in their manifesto. He asked:

"Tell me how Rahul Gandhi can eliminate poverty from India? Congress has ruled the nation for sixty years but was unable to bring change as it always involved in misconduct, corruption and oppressiveness."

Citing the achievement of the Narendra Modi government, he said:

"Our nation, under the leadership of prime Minister Narendra Modi is moving toward development. he has taken this nation to another level in these five years and initiated several schemes for development of common peoplw such as Jan Dhan Yojana, Mudra Yojana, Awas Yojana, smart cities, etc."
