After the Bharatiya Janata Party released its manifesto on Monday Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad spoke to Republic TV's Editor In Chief Arnab Goswami. He spoke about why the BJP did not have sops just as the Congress did its manifesto.
"Dinke sapne dikhane me koi paabandi nahi he. There is no restriction to show daydreams What the Congress party is doing is they are showing false narrative that they are dreaming for India, on the contrary, as our delivery (or promises) is evident. India is the largest growing power. India is the biggest investment. India has courage it has shown if anyone tries to tease us using terror (overt and covert) a strong response shall be given, We have delivered welfare and develoment projects. Woh sirf sapne bechte he ham kaam karke dikate he. (They sell dreams and we perform)", he said.
The BJP released its manifesto in New Delhi PM Narendra Modi and top BJP leaders including party president Amit Shah, Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Finance Minister Arun Jaitley were present. In the 48-page 'Sankalp Patra', the party has highlighted its vision a 'new India' in the next five years.
"Under the leadership of PM Modi, the central government has brought positive change in the life of every Indian in the last 5 years. While ensuring accountability, the government has worked for the welfare of the public," reads the party manifesto.
Expressing confidence on the fulfilment of the goals for the country ahead of the 75th anniversary of independence in 2022, BJP enlisted 75 promises to help strengthen India and bring about positive change in the life of every Indian.
