Fuelling rumours of a third front again, reports say that Telangana Chief Minister and TRS Chief K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) is scheduled to meet DMK Chief M K Stalin at his Chennai residence on Monday at 4 PM.
While sources have said that DMK is calling this meeting a courtesy as KCR has allegedly made a huge effort to meet Stalin since a few weeks. DMK has previously denied to meet with KCR stating election duties.
Earlier on Tuesday, when reports of a meeting between the two leaders had emerged, DMK sources claimed that Stalin is unlikely to meet with KCR.
According to DMK sources, Stalin is unlikely to meet with KCR as DMK already is in a pre-poll alliance with the Congress party and would not wish to jeopardize that. DMK has reportedly already informed KCR's team that Stalin would be unable to meet him as he would be campaigning for the by-polls which is scheduled on May 19 in Tamil Nadu where the last four Assembly seats will go to polls.
Refuting that any meeting between the two leaders was to occur, TRS MP and KCR's daughter K Kavitha has said that no appointment has been fixed yet, as per sources.
This meeting is reportedly a part of KCR's aim to band together with southern leaders to form his proposed 'Federal Front' against the BJP. Earlier on Monday, reports claimed that KCR has scheduled a visit to states the of Kerala and Tamil Nadu in the next week. As per inputs, KCR will be meeting Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan and Tamil Nadu CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami during the visit to discuss the same.
