Here's BJP's reaction to Mallikarjun Kharge's shocking 'Will PM hang himself if Congress wins 40 seats?' remark

In yet another controversy, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said that PM Modi should hang himself. Responding to the shocking remark by the Congress leader, BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said that Kharge should hang his head in shame after uttering such lines for the Prime Minister.

Taking to Twitter minutes after Kharge's comment, Patra said that from ' boti boti kat denge(will divide into pieces)' to 'Hang Modi', the opposition campaign has been bad.

He said: "Rather Mallikarjun Kharge should hang his head in shame for this thought of his. Will divide into pieces, in 50 crores will kill Modi and now Hang Modi at Vijay Chowk. Really! how more bad will it get.." 

On Sunday, as the sixth phase of elections were underway, addressing a poll rally in Muzaffarpur constituency in Bihar, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge asked if Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hang himself from Vijay Chowk if the grand old party gets more than 40 seats.

This was in response to Prime Minister's prediction in a recent rally saying that Congress will not even win 40 seats this election.

Earlier Congress party has been in midst of controversy after its overseas chief Sam Pitroda said 'Hua to hua' on 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Though Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has issued a statement saying that he wants Pitroda to apologise and Pitroda has blamed the comment on his bad Hindi, the BJP has accused that the comment reveals Congress party's mindset.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had issued a scorning attack on the Opposition by targeting former PM Rajiv Gandhi. Prime Minister Modi while addressing an election rally in Uttar Pradesh commented on Rajiv Gandhi while speaking about the corruption under the Congress governments. He said:

"Your father was termed 'Mr Clean' by his courtiers, but his life ended as 'Bhrashtachari No 1' (corrupt number 1). By hurling abuses, you cannot turn the 50 long years of Modi's Tapasya (struggle) into dust. By tarnishing my image and by making me look small, these people want to form an unstable and a weak government in the country " PM Modi said.
