Here's why Arvind Kejriwal is backing Prakash Raj for Parliament as the actor contests Phase 2 of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls
As Prakash Raj is set to fight as an independent candidate from Bengaluru Central constituency in Karnataka, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to extend best wishes to the political leader ahead of the polls.

Voting in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections begins on Thursday, with 95 seats spread across 12 states and one union territory going to polls. In the second phase, 14 out of 28 constituencies in Karnataka will go polls.
As actor-turned-politician Prakash Raj is set to fight as an independent candidate from Bengaluru Central constituency in Karnataka, Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter to extend best wishes to the political leader ahead of the polls.
In a tweet on Wednesday night, Kejriwal regarded Raj as 'amongst few people who have had the courage to publicly speak the right thing', and sent his 'best wishes' for his maiden electoral foray.
In January, Prakash Raj, after announcing his intention to contest elections, had met Arvind Kejriwal at his residence. He had thanked the AAP for supporting his political journey and also discussed various issues.
In Karnataka, 14 seats are going to polls on April 18, while the remaining 14 seats will see polling on April 23. These 14 seats will see polling on Thursday: Bangalore, Central Bangalore, North Bangalore, Rural Bangalore, South Chamarajnagar, Chikballapur, Chitradurga, Dakshina, Kannada, Hassan, Kolar, Mandya, Mysore, Tumkur, Udupi and Chikmagalur.
Voting for the 543 Lok Sabha seats is being held in seven phases: April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. Counting of votes will take place on May 23.
